Offiziell anerkannt:
§11 Tierschutzgesetz bestanden!

Dr. Alexandra Goergens – Veterinarian by Passion!

Even at the age of three, I knew I wanted to become a veterinarian.

School visits to circuses or zoos quickly showed me how cruel life behind bars can be for animals. I could feel their sadness, and I couldn’t understand how other children could laugh at an elephant performing tricks.

I wanted to prevent animals from suffering, from being locked up or chained. For me, it was clear: My calling is to help animals! As a young assistant and later as a veterinarian with my own practice in Munich, I used every free minute to support an international spay and neuter program.

These projects took me to many parts of the world – to Romania, Greece, India, and the Caribbean. The dogs of the Dominican Republic especially captured my heart with their incredibly friendly and grateful nature. In 2020, I decided to fully follow my passion: I closed my practice in Munich to dedicate myself 100% to street animals – those who have no loud voice to make people aware of their suffering.
To take my mission to the next level and pass on my veterinary experience to the next generation, I founded Dr. Alexismission e.V.

This organization gives me the opportunity to help animals all over the world and live my dream for the greater good: a world in which animals are treated with respect and compassion.

Casa de Angelo
A rescue center that brings hope!

Casa de Angelo is my first rescue center in Cienaga, Cabarete – right where the need is greatest.
In a neighborhood where many people live with low incomes, countless stray animals are fighting for survival. This is where we step in: We care for injured and sick animals, feed the hungry, and relieve their suffering – day and night, with heart and dedication. Angelo – My right hand in animal rescue

Angelo is my most important support on site. His big heart for animals and his exceptional talent in handling them make him irreplaceable. Over the years, I have trained him, and through countless joint missions, he has become an experienced helper. He treats wounds, vaccinates, handles maggot infestations, and often recognizes an animal’s condition at first sight. Even when I am not on site, he ensures that no animal is left without help. Quick help thanks to mobility

With our new motorcycle, we are now even more flexible and can reach animals even in remote areas. Every emergency call, every helpless creature is worth the trip. A home for those who have no one

Our station is a refuge for animals in the greatest need. Here they not only receive medical care, but also food, shelter, and loving attention. While many of them are prepared for and placed in new homes, some are allowed to stay – animals that are old, sick, or special, and who have found a sanctuary with us.

Life here is challenging, but there is nothing more valuable than giving hope to a suffering animal. Every rescued glance, every grateful heart motivates us to keep going.

Casa de Woolfi
a sanctuary for rescued dogs

At the beginning of 2024, we opened our new station “Casa de Woolfi” in Sabaneta – a loving extension of our existing station Casa de Angelo. Here, Wolfgang dedicates himself with heart and commitment to rescuing and caring for dogs who are often severely traumatized or injured when they are taken off the streets. At Casa de Woolfi, these dogs find a safe place where they are cared for with much love and prepared for a new life.

Caring for a dog costs €150 per month, as in addition to food and veterinary care, we also have to cover rent and ongoing expenses. A great way to support our work is by taking on a sponsorship. With your help, we can temporarily provide a dog with a place in one of our stations until he is successfully adopted and prepared for his journey – often a demanding but always rewarding process.

Wolfgang is on site around the clock, giving each and every dog intensive care, human contact, and loving attention. Through this dedicated care, the dogs not only recover their health but are also excellently socialized. They learn to interact with other dogs and get used to living in a home – ideal conditions for a happy adoption into a new family.

Support Casa de Woolfi and help us give these wonderful animals a second chance at a better life!

Join our mission – Together we save animal lives

Combating animal suffering at its root.
In the Dominican Republic, we regularly run spay and neuter clinics that save countless stray dogs from a life of hunger, disease, and danger. With just €50, we can spay a female dog, changing not only her life but also the fate of many other animals. We also support low-income families who cannot afford medical care or sterilization for their animals, helping to ensure that their pets can also lead better lives. We rescue abused and injured animals from hopeless situations and provide them with medical care and loving attention in our centers until they are ready to be placed with caring families.

With a temporary sponsorship of €150 per month, you can help a dog until it is fully cared for, made ready to travel, and can be placed in a loving home. On Mallorca, I am also committed to extensive population control and neuter feral cats to protect their population sustainably.

Our work does not end at national borders – wherever animals are in need, we want to help. Join us! With every donation, you provide food, medicine, and medical care for the animals. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, learn more about our projects, and see which animals are currently available for adoption.

Together, we can bring hope and save lives!
